America, but also about the whole world Democracy, about Europa and Israel and even about Russia.
Also, Valentina iz Tambova, do you consider yourself to be a prophet? Or to be a daughter of a prophet? Or having a prophet genome? How do you know so well the matters you are «propagandin» here? Did you get some instructions from above?
Now to the paper…
Prof. Mark Zaltzberg’s impressive summary was published both in English and in Russian. It must be noted that it does not require too much of courage to publish it in Russian, but publishing it in English in US undeniably requires bravery and boldness given the existing highly sensitive“political correctness” circumstances.
The magnitude of the matters Prof. Mark Zaltzberg is bringing up to the discussion table is, to my opinion, of really critically high significance due to their existential effects upon the nearby and remote future of the American society.
The subject of the Prof. Mark Zaltzberg’s paper could be formulated as “America is deadly ill”, and the illness diagnosis is “Rapidly expanding socio-economic cancer”. Unfortunately the America’s governing body does not do anything to prevent or at least somehow to slow down its deadly expansion. Just oppositely, it even favors it, putting under high risk the very basic existence of our homeland, which makes the subject of Prof. Zaltzberg’s article to be of the existential scale indeed not only for Americans but also for everybody in the world who considers Democracy to be the best option of the currently known arrangements of a sociological systems.
Considering America’s Homeland security matters it currently looks like we actually do not need al-Qaeda or whatever al- XYZ terrorists to destroy our system; it is enough just to keep the welfare system as it is or to “improve it” to be even more beneficial for some groups of people, “chosen” by our government, and the devastating destruction will be naturally coming over to our soil.
This is what it is useful to have in mind while discussing these matters. The development dynamics of the welfare-infected American society is very similar to the expansion of tumor in a cancer-ill limited size/resources system. Like our country America is.
Until the tumor is relatively small consuming just a small fraction of the resources and the system is healthy enough to generate enough resources to cover for the tumor appetite everything stays fine. However, cancer cells, enjoying their reckless “lifestyle”, uncontrollably multiply causing quick tumor expansion and launching metastases all over the system. The quickly approaching termination phase (“Ashes to ashes, dust to dust…”) is catastrophic both for the system with all its components and for the tumor, which induced the catastrophe. No matter how “successful” its growths dynamics is (internally) qualified. And the catastrophe may come much faster than in any way pictured. And even if the system brainpower starts to realize the danger at some point and consider how to deal with the problem, in most cases it could be already too late because, if the signs of catastrophic development became obviously visible, the system development dynamics apparently passed the so-called point of no return and the catastrophe becomes unstoppable.
This is what, I think, Prof. Mark Zaltzberg’s is trying to communicate to us, and I hope this alerting appeal will be heard by American people prior to the moment the system will be passing this critical point.
Also, you may have paid attention that Prof. Mark Zaltzberg spent about a half of his adult life under Soviets, and another half here in US, having enough time to consider and understand the development trends for both Soviet Orwellian communist system and modern American Obama-shaped capitalistic systems. This is the other point I would like to highlight — Prof. Mark Zaltzberg is competent and well qualified to analyze and conclude about such matters.
Also, it is worth to mention that Prof. Mark Zaltzberg belongs to the cohort of former Soviet world class scientists and highly skilled professionals immigrated and quickly and successfully integrated themselves into American society. I consider myself also belonging to this kind of well, USSRian-Americans (structured just by analogy with, for example, African- Americans, or Indian-Americans). Just to quickly introduce myself, I am a scientist, HighTech technologist and engineer (Silicon valley, chip-fabrication industry, 60 granted US patents, numerous papers published in the most prestigious journals and invited talks at major High Tech technology forums, a national interest waver was issued to bring me in to US).
People like Prof. Mark Zaltzberg (whom, unfortunately, I had no occasion to meet) myself and a big cohort of well-educated and highly-skilled professionals — immigrants from former USSR, most of us, in this way or another, were dissidents under Soviets and we were not frightened there to come up and say publicly what we considered to be important. Even though it could easily sent us into jail and GULAG, or at least kick us out of job. And if we did it there in the tightly controlled by KGB communist-governed atmosphere, I do not see any reason why should we be frightened here in the modern Democratic America even though this country is also tightly controlled by the absurd idea of political correctness? The standard of “political correctness”, as its wild implementation shows, became, in its essence, a very discriminatory ruling putting some of the US socio-groups under clear discriminating conditions.
The message I am formulating here from my side is strongly coherent with Prof. Mark Zaltzberg ‘s one, and I am formulating it as “America, you are in danger of being engulfed due to the welfare cancerous policy! Perform anti-cancer treatments on yourself until it is not too late!”
I think the time came to speak out and we should not keep our mouths shut.
